Job Description
Are you an experienced and proactive logistics professional with a passion for leading teams and driving operational excellence? Nestlé Nigeria is seeking a dedicated and effective Warehouse Supervisor to join our world-class Supply Chain team at our major factory complex in Agbara, Ogun State. This is a critical, hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing a team of warehouse operators and ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient flow of raw materials and finished goods.
The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a strong background in modern warehouse management systems (WMS), rigorous inventory control, and a deep commitment to workplace safety. You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of our warehouse operations, ensuring that our team meets its targets for accuracy, efficiency, and safety. What You Will Do
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of warehouse operators, assigning daily tasks and monitoring performance to ensure operational goals are met.
- Oversee all key warehouse activities, including the receiving of raw materials, storage, inventory management, order picking, and dispatching of finished goods.
- Champion and enforce strict adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations, actively promoting a “safety-first” culture on the warehouse floor.
- Ensure the accuracy of our inventory by managing regular cycle counts and effectively utilizing our Warehouse Management System (WMS), primarily SAP.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the daily activities of the warehouse team to meet and exceed operational targets for receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Train, mentor, and coach all warehouse staff on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and the correct use of warehouse equipment.
- Champion a "zero-accident" mindset by enforcing all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, conducting regular safety talks, and ensuring good housekeeping.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS), specifically SAP, to ensure accurate and real-time tracking of all inventory movements and transactions.
- Conduct and oversee regular inventory checks and cycle counts, investigate any discrepancies, and submit accurate reports to the Warehouse Manager.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on all key warehouse activities, including team performance, stock levels, and operational KPIs.
Required Skills
- Strong and demonstrable leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- In-depth, practical knowledge of modern warehouse practices, including inventory control methods (e.g., FIFO/FEFO) and safety procedures.
- A high level of proficiency in using a Warehouse Management System (WMS); direct hands-on experience with SAP is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions and work effectively under pressure.
- A proactive, meticulous, and results-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a modern warehouse, distribution center, or factory logistics environment.
- At least 1-2 years of direct experience in a supervisory or team leadership role is essential.
- A valid Forklift Operator certification and/or other material handling equipment (MHE) certifications are a strong advantage.
