Job Description/Summary

GIG Logistics is conducting a major hiring now campaign to expand our team of professional Delivery Drivers in Lagos. What You Will Do

Execute the timely and accurate pickup and delivery of parcels across various assigned routes within Lagos.
Utilize the proprietary GIG GO mobile application for order management, status updates, and route navigation.
Ensure the absolute safety and security of all packages in your custody, from the point of pickup to successful delivery.
Perform mandatory daily vehicle inspections and maintain the vehicle to GIGL’s exceptional standards of cleanliness and care.

Key Responsibilities

Carefully load and unload the delivery vehicle with packages scheduled for your route, ensuring proper handling.
Adhere strictly to assigned routes and time schedules to manage multi-stop deliveries efficiently.
Provide exceptional and courteous customer service during all interactions at pickup and delivery locations.
Collect payments on delivery (POD) where applicable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in the app.
Report any delivery discrepancies, vehicle issues, accidents, or traffic violations to the dispatch supervisor immediately.
Consistently comply with all company safety policies and Lagos State traffic regulations.

Required Skills

Excellent and safe driving skills with an in-depth, practical knowledge of Lagos road networks and traffic dynamics.
Strong time management and organizational abilities to effectively handle a high volume of daily deliveries.
A high level of personal reliability, integrity, and punctuality is non-negotiable.
Good communication skills and a professional, presentable appearance.
Must be physically fit and capable of lifting and moving packages of various weights.

Preferred Qualifications

A valid Nigerian Driver's Licence (experience with manual transmission is required).
A minimum of a Senior School Certificate (SSCE).
