This is a vital entry-level role, and no previous professional cleaning experience is needed. We provide all the necessary on-the-job training and professional-grade equipment.
As a member of our Corporate Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining the exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and presentation that our customers and staff expect from the respected GTCO brand. What You Will Do
- Perform thorough and consistent daily cleaning of all areas of the bank branch, including the main banking hall, offices, meeting rooms, and restrooms.
- Ensure all surfaces are properly dusted, wiped, and sanitized, and that all floors are impeccably swept, mopped, and polished.
- Responsibly manage and dispose of all waste in strict accordance with the bank’s established health and safety guidelines.
- Diligently monitor and restock all cleaning supplies and essential restroom consumables (soap, paper towels, etc.) to ensure they are always available.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform all routine cleaning tasks, such as dusting furniture, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in all office spaces and the banking hall.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize all restrooms, and ensure they are consistently restocked with soap, paper towels, and other essential supplies.
- Professionally clean all glass windows, doors, and interior partitions to maintain a spotless appearance.
- Collect and empty all trash receptacles from offices and public areas, and transport the waste to the designated central disposal area.
- Immediately report any maintenance issues (e.g., leaking taps, broken lights) or safety hazards to the Branch Services Manager.
- Strictly follow all health and safety regulations, and ensure the correct and safe use of all cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Required Skills
- A high personal standard of cleanliness and a very good eye for detail.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to manage your time effectively throughout the day.
- A positive, polite, and respectful attitude towards all colleagues and customers.
- Excellent punctuality and a high degree of reliability are absolutely essential for this role.
- Basic verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of a Senior School Certificate (SSCE) is required.
- You must be physically able to perform a full range of cleaning duties, which includes standing for long periods, bending, and lifting.
- You must be proven to be honest, highly reliable, and possess a very strong work ethic.
- Applicants must live in or very close to the Surulere area of Lagos to ensure a reliable and easy daily commute.
