Job Description

Eko Hotel & Suites has an immediate and urgent opening for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Facility Manager. This is a critical leadership role responsible for supporting the seamless operation and immaculate upkeep of our extensive and world-class property. We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in facility or property management who is ready for an immediate start. What You Will Do

  • Assist in overseeing the daily operations of all hotel facilities, including maintenance, safety, and security systems.
  • Supervise and mentor a diverse team of technicians, janitorial staff, and external contractors to ensure the highest standards of work.
  • Conduct regular, thorough inspections of the entire property to proactively identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Support the Facility Manager in budgeting for repairs, managing vendor contracts, and executing capital improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Facility Manager in developing and executing a comprehensive preventative maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and prolong asset life.
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of external vendors and contractors, ensuring compliance with contracts and safety standards.
  • Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), assigning work orders and ensuring timely resolution of all facility-related requests.
  • Assist in guaranteeing full compliance with all national and local health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual facility management budget and diligently monitor expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of junior facility staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in facility, property, or hotel maintenance management.
  • Professional certification in facility management (e.g., IFMA, CFM) or project management (PMP) is highly advantageous.
  • A strong, practical understanding of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
