What You Will Do

  • Proactively manage and nurture a dedicated portfolio of corporate client accounts to maximize long-term profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive business growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities through the sourcing and successful onboarding of new corporate clients.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of client financial statements to prepare detailed and compelling credit proposals for loans and other credit facilities.
  • Act as the primary, dedicated point of contact for your clients, providing expert advice on the bank’s full range of products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute detailed account plans and relationship strategies to grow revenue and product penetration within your assigned client portfolio.
  • Actively market the bank's full range of corporate and commercial banking products, including term loans, trade finance, treasury services, and digital banking solutions.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis, due diligence, and risk assessment to prepare and present comprehensive credit applications for review and approval.
  • Carefully monitor the performance of your loan portfolio, ensuring full compliance with all credit terms and proactively managing any potential risks or delinquencies.
  • Ensure excellent and timely service delivery by effectively coordinating with other internal departments (e.g., Credit, Operations, Treasury) to meet all client needs.
  • Prepare regular, insightful reports on portfolio performance, business development activities, and market intelligence for senior management.

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of direct, hands-on experience as an Account Officer or Relationship Manager in a commercial or corporate banking division of a reputable bank in Nigeria.
  • A relevant professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIBN) is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrable and proven experience with credit analysis, financial modeling, and interpretation of financial statements.
