Job Description
Are you a creative and data-driven digital marketer who wants to help power the growth of Africa’s most ambitious businesses? Paystack is hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our world-class growth team in Lagos. This is a hands-on role for a skilled marketer who is passionate about creating compelling content, executing multi-channel campaigns, and delivering measurable results. This is a mid-level position, not an entry-level role.
As a key player in our mission, you will be responsible for acquiring and engaging new merchants, from solo entrepreneurs to large corporations, through smart, scalable digital marketing initiatives. You will own campaigns from ideation to execution and analysis, working across content, SEO, email, social, and paid channels. What You Will Do
- Develop and execute end-to-end digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including email marketing, social media, and paid advertising.
- Create, distribute, and optimize high-quality content (such as blog posts, case studies, and guides) that attracts and educates our target audience of businesses.
- Meticulously analyze campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics and internal dashboards, then use that data to optimize for growth.
- Manage our vibrant social media presence and actively engage with our community of developers, entrepreneurs, and merchants.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, LinkedIn, and Twitter to generate high-quality leads.
- Develop and execute our content marketing strategy, including blog writing, keyword research, on-page/off-page SEO, and creating valuable downloadable resources.
- Manage our email marketing channel, including crafting newsletters, building lead nurturing sequences, and creating product announcement campaigns.
- Oversee our organic social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), fostering community engagement, driving brand awareness, and managing our brand voice.
- Track, analyze, and report on key marketing metrics (e.g., website traffic, leads, conversion rates, CAC) and provide actionable insights for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with the design, engineering, and product teams to ensure a cohesive and compelling brand and user experience across all touchpoints.
Required Skills
- Excellent and versatile writing, editing, and storytelling skills are absolutely essential.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the proven ability to interpret data and make data-driven marketing decisions.
- In-depth, practical knowledge of SEO/SEM, content marketing, email marketing, and social media marketing best practices.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce).
- A creative and curious mindset combined with a highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach to work.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of direct, hands-on experience in a digital marketing role is required, preferably within a B2B or technology/SaaS company.
- A strong and verifiable portfolio of successful digital marketing campaigns and content you have personally created and managed.
- Proven, hands-on experience with key digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO tools like Ahrefs/SEMrush, Email Marketing Platforms, Social Media Schedulers).
