Job Summary

A reputable restaurant in Lagos is seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join its culinary team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to restaurant recipes, menus, and standards.
• Ensure food is properly seasoned, cooked, and presented before serving.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and workstations.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies when needed.
• Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Assist in developing new dishes and improving existing menu items.

Requirements & Skills

• Minimum of SSCE or OND qualification.
• Previous experience as a Cook, Kitchen Assistant, or related role in a restaurant or hotel is an advantage.
• Knowledge of local and continental dishes is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, disciplined, and passionate about cooking.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
