The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up our two children (ages 6 and 9) from their nearby school and caring for them until we return from work. This role is perfect for a responsible university student or a professional nanny looking for a consistent part-time schedule. Your primary focus will be on the children’s safety, well-being, and afternoon enrichment. We need someone who can help with homework, plan fun activities, and be a positive role model. If you are passionate about childcare and are looking for a long-term position with a wonderful family, we would be delighted to hear from you.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Safely pick up both children from their school at 3:00 PM and bring them back to our home.
  •  Prepare healthy and delicious afternoon snacks and occasionally assist with simple meal preparation for the children.
  • Supervise and assist with homework and school projects, ensuring they understand their assignments and complete them on time.
  • Organize engaging and age-appropriate activities, such as trips to the park, arts and crafts, reading, and educational games.
  • Tidy up play areas and children’s rooms, teaching them to be responsible for their belongings.
  • Communicate openly and regularly with us about the children’s day, including any notable achievements or concerns.

Desired Skills

  • Punctual, reliable, and highly trustworthy with a proven track record.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with children on their level.
  • A patient, creative, and energetic personality.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage the children’s afternoon schedules effectively.
  • Basic first-aid and safety knowledge.

Preferred Qualification

  • A minimum of 2 years of consistent experience in nannying, babysitting, or a related childcare field.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is highly preferred.
  •  Positive references from at least two previous childcare positions.
  • Must be a non-smoker.

Benefits

  • A competitive hourly wage paid legally (on the books).
  • A stable and consistent schedule (e.g., Monday-Friday, 2:45 PM – 6:45 PM).
  • A respectful, welcoming, and professional work environment.
  • Paid time off for major holidays that fall on a workday.
  • The opportunity to build a meaningful, long-term relationship with our children and family.
