Job Summary
The Place Restaurant, one of Lagos’ leading casual dining establishments, is urgently hiring Trainee Waitresses to join its vibrant team in Ikeja. This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic, customer-friendly individuals seeking to build a career in the hospitality industry.
No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided. You will gain hands-on experience in customer service, food & beverage handling, and restaurant operations while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Present menus, take food and beverage orders accurately, and relay them to kitchen staff.
- Serve meals and drinks promptly, ensuring guests receive excellent dining experiences.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of tables and dining areas.
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables before and after service.
- Handle guest inquiries or complaints professionally, escalating issues to supervisors when necessary.
- Process payments and issue receipts as required.
- Follow all health, hygiene, and safety regulations within the restaurant.
Requirements & Skills
- Minimum of SSCE qualification.
- No prior experience required – on-the-job training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Neat, presentable appearance with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
