BBC Studios is urgently hiring a Social Media Manager in London to lead and execute digital content strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

This role requires a highly creative and data-driven professional who can grow digital communities, maximize engagement, and develop viral content campaigns. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in digital storytelling, content creation, and campaign optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement BBC Studios’ social media strategy across all key platforms.
  • Manage day-to-day content publishing, scheduling, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with production, PR, and marketing teams to amplify campaigns.
  • Track KPIs and analyze insights to optimize engagement and audience growth.
  • Oversee paid social campaigns to maximize reach and conversions.
  • Identify emerging trends and integrate innovative ideas into campaigns.
  • Ensure brand voice and editorial standards are consistently applied.

Desired Skills

  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms, analytics, and audience insights.
  • Excellent written and visual storytelling skills.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, and paid advertising tools.
  • Ability to balance creativity with data-driven decision-making.
  • Project management and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other content design tools.

Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.

  • Experience with influencer collaborations or content partnerships is a plus.
  • Understanding of UK and global entertainment audiences.
