Job Description/Summary

BuzzFeed is hiring a Social Media Manager in New York to drive the company’s social media growth strategy across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn.

This role is perfect for creative digital marketers who can craft high-performing content strategies, analyze social insights, and build engaging campaigns that attract millions of views. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and execute BuzzFeed’s social media strategy across multiple platforms.
  • Create and schedule engaging posts, videos, and stories tailored for each platform.
  • Collaborate with editorial, video, and marketing teams to amplify trending content.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to optimize reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Monitor social trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
  • Lead paid social campaigns to expand BuzzFeed’s brand visibility.
  • Engage with online communities and maintain BuzzFeed’s strong brand voice.

Desired Skills

  • Exceptional copywriting and storytelling skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite).

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience with paid advertising campaigns (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads).
  • Design and video editing experience (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
